Dr. Dean joined the Surgery Group in 2019 after working in Daytona Beach, FL. He is originally from Pensacola, having gone to Washington High School, and is excited to have returned to his hometown. He obtained his medical degree at Florida State University College of Medicine and underwent surgical training at Atlanta Medical Center and Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, FL. Dr. Dean practices the full range of general surgery with an emphasis on minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic and cutting edge robotic techniques. He frequently pursues continued and advanced training and is committed to medical education, serving as an adjunct clinical faculty member for Florida State University College of Medicine. He believes all patients should be treated with both competency and compassion and provides expert, patient-centered care for problems such as gallbladder disease, benign and malignant colon disorders, all types of abdominal hernias, skin cancers, and breast disease. He is recently married and loves spending time with his wife and their dogs Smokey and Max. He enjoys outdoor activities such as paddle boarding, hiking, and tennis.
