Matt Giles, PA-C, joined ENT Specialists of North Florida and Dr. Saswata Roy in 2019. Matt graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2005. With a love for children he began his career in general pediatrics, caring for children birth through 18 years of age, from newborn exams to well child visits, sick visits, and after-hours acute care. His main areas of interest were infectious diseases, respiratory health, and trauma care. Much of his experience in the pediatrics arena was instrumental in preparing him to transition into the field of otorhinolaryngology. After 7 years in the field of general pediatrics, Matt was able to adapt his skill set to step into ENT, relocating from Gainesville to Jacksonville. He has since continued to gain full-spectrum pediatric and adult ENT experience, most recently with Mayo Clinic.
Prior to pursuing a career in medicine Matt worked as an environmental scientist. After earning a master’s degree in biology, he focused on research and publishing for several years while with the South Florida Water Management District. He is a Florida native and enjoys fishing, fitness, and Gators football. He married his wonderful wife, Erin, in 2001. They have 2 amazing daughters, Kathryn and Georgia.
