Dr. Alyssa A. Paetau is a board certified General Surgeon who earned both her undergraduate degree and medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. She completed her General Surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic Florida of Jacksonville 2012. Prior to joining the North Florida Surgeons, she practiced General Surgery in a rural community in Maine. Dr. Paetau has a special interest in benign and malignant diseases of the breast, hernia repair, minimally invasive general surgery, skin cancer and chronic wound care. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and member of the Association of Women Surgeons.
Dr. Paetau prides herself in creating a comfortable environment that facilitates open communication and shared decision making. When Dr. Paetau is not in the operating room, she enjoys cooking vegetarian cuisine, gardening, and surfing.
