Ms. Donna Smith, MPAS, PA-C, is a Certified Physician Assistant with more than 30 years experience in clinical and surgical practice. She graduated from the University of Kentucky Physician Assistant Program (Lexington, KY) during which she was named “Outstanding Physician Assistant Student.”  Subsequently, she completed a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from the University of Nebraska (Omaha, NE).

Prior to joining Jacksonville Hearing and Balance Institute, Ms. Smith was on staff with Mayo Clinic Jacksonville for 13 years. In addition to her administrative, clinical and surgical responsibilities, she was involved in research and education, and she earned the academic rank of “Instructor, Mayo Medical School” for Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

Ms. Smith joined the faculty of Nova Southeastern University Physician Assistant Program – Jacksonville campus as Assistant Professor in July 2009, and she taught at the Nova campus for several years. She also was adjunct faculty at Florida State College of Jacksonville. Ms. Smith has been involved in the education of physician assistants, medical students, residents and fellows during her entire career.
