Dr. Jeremy S. Melker was born in the Bronx, New York, though has been in Gainesville since he was four years old with the exception of his undergraduate years at Amherst College. There, he was a Phi Beta Kappa Junior Year Inductee, a distinction awarded to only the top 5% of his graduating class. He returned to the University of Florida College of Medicine where he was an Alpha Omega Alpha Junior Inductee and the highest-ranking graduate in his medical school class. He completed both his General Surgery internship and residency in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Florida, where he continued to receive numerous accolades.
He founded Gainesville ENT & Allergy Associates in 2006, which embodies his personal style, commitment to hometown medicine, and desire to serve his greater Gainesville family and beyond. While he truly enjoys all aspects of general ENT, his practice focus is sinus and allergy disorders and he routinely performs complex computer assisted sinus surgery. When not taking care of patients, he enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife and two sons, playing gearhead in the garage, speaking Japanese, and exercising.
