Dr. Kristen D. Trinca is a board-certified General Surgeon, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
After graduating cum laude with a BS in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Florida, she attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami. She the completed her General Surgery Residency while on active duty at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. At Walter Reed, she spent a great deal of time caring for wounded service personnel, giving her extensive experience in wound care and surgical wound management.
Dr. Trinca also served as the General Surgeon at Naval Base Guam, Naval Air Station Sigonella, Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, and at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Fl. Now a Navy veteran after almost 13 years of military service, Dr. Trinca chose to continue her surgical career in the Jacksonville area.
Dr. Trinca is skilled in a wide range of general surgery, including treatment of skin cancer, breast disease, gallbladder disease, gastrointestinal diseases, antefix procedures , colorectal cancer, anorectal diseases, pilonidal disease, wound care, and all types of abdominal and inguinal hernias. She is skilled in advanced laparoscopy and certified in robotics surgery.
