Dr. Shetty is a board certified, double fellowship-trained ophthalmologist
specializing in cataract and glaucoma surgery. He served on the staff of the Mayo Clinic for 7 years as an Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology before founding Florida Eye Specialists in 2009.
Dr Shetty is a pioneer in cataract and glaucoma surgery and was the first surgeon in Florida to perform the minimally invasive Trabectome procedure, the first to perform canaloplasty in the region, and one of the first in the region to perform laser cataract surgery. He is currently chief of Ophthalmology at St Vincent’s Southside and a frequent lecturer at national and international meetings.
