Dr. Tuper grew up in the rural New York “North Country” but always loved visiting his relatives in Pensacola every year or two. He went to college at Johns Hopkins University, and then he went to medical school at Vanderbilt. He’d always wanted to serve the country, so he joined the Air Force to help pay for medical school figuring he’d just serve out his four-year commitment. However, he says he loved the people, the mission, and the patients so much that he ended up doing a full career.
While at Johns Hopkins, he met his wife Debbie. They’ve been married for over 20 years and have three children – Tim, Ryan, and Kira. They are currently at the University of Central Florida, University of Florida, and Ruckel Middle School, respectively.
Dr. Tuper enjoys a wide variety of fields in General Otolaryngology, from taking care of children to thyroid and nasal surgery. He’s been an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology ever since residency training.
He is really looking forward to being part of the great team at Northwest Florida ENT, as well as being part of the greater community for years to come. He likes to spend his free time golfing and fishing, so there are far worse places to spend his post-Air Force life!
