Joseph D. Bianchi, MD, a graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine completed his surgical training in Roanoke, Virginia where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. As a Board Certified Surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he has extensive training and experience in all aspects of his specialty.
He has been an active medical staff member at Halifax Health since 1996.
During this time, he has served in many roles some including, President of the Medical Staff, Chairman of the Credential Committee, and Trauma Medical Director. He also serves as faculty for Halifax Surgical Residency Program and Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery Florida State University of Medicine.
He has special interest and training in diseases of thyroid and parathyroid, as well as all aspects of skin cancer and breast disease. He has advanced laparoscopic surgical techniques in the treatment of all abdominal disease processes including gallbladder, hernias, colon and reflux disease.
