Ms. Judy Nelson is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) with more than 25 years of experience in clinical and surgical practice. Prior to joining Jacksonville Hearing and Balance Institute in 2003, she was on staff at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville for 11 years.
Ms. Nelson has earned distinctive recognition since the beginning of her career. She graduated at the top of her class from the Emory University Physician Assistant Program after getting her undergraduate degree from Stetson University. She went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from the University of Nebraska and has completed the course work for her Ph.D.
In 2009, the American Academy of Physician Assistants recognized Ms. Nelson as a “Distinguished Fellow”, an honor awarded to less than one percent of physician assistants in the country. The award is made to those who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to their profession, commitment to advancing health care for all people, and exemplary personal and professional development.
