Dr. Mathew Doble, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in
minimally invasive and advanced gastrointestinal procedures, including bariatric
and foregut surgeries. In the fall of 2024, Dr. Doble joined the Surgical Associates
of Central Florida in Winter Park, where he provides comprehensive surgical care
to patients across the region.
Dr. Doble began his medical journey with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from
Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN, where he earned Dean’s List honors
multiple times. He went on to obtain his Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross
University School of Medicine in 2016. Following medical school, he completed a
rigorous General Surgery Residency at Cleveland Clinic Florida, where he served
as Chief Resident and received several accolades, including Senior and Junior
Resident of the Year awards. He further honed his expertise through an
MIS/Advanced GI Surgery Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida, emphasizing
advanced techniques in laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery.
Dr. Doble’s dedication to excellence is evident in his professional achievements,
including certifications in Fundamentals of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgery
and a top percentile performance in the ABS General Surgery Board Exams. He
has also contributed to the surgical community through committee leadership roles
and presentations on complex gastrointestinal conditions.
In his free time, he is most often training for his next marathon and spending time
with his wife and son. His hobbies include playing golf, cheering on the Vikings &
Steelers and boating.
