Originally from Illinois, Dr. Paul Bailey earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Rochester in upstate New York and his medical degree from Albert Einstein Medical College in the Bronx where he was awarded the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award. He then began his general surgery residency at Hahnemann University Hospital/Drexel University in Philadelphia, and finished his chief residency year at St. Luke’s University Health in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania after the closure of Hahnemann. He then completed a fellowship specializing in bariatric surgery and advanced minimally invasive surgery at Hackensack University Hospital in New Jersey.
A Board-Certified General Surgeon, Dr. Bailey is energized by the challenge of utilizing his laparoscopic and robotic skills to address a variety of general surgery issues. He is also motivated by following his bariatric patients through their weight loss journey as they improve their health and lives.
Outside of the operating room, Dr. Bailey enjoys spending time cooking, playing video games, as well as staying active and exploring the outdoors with his family and rescue dog, Samson.
