A board certified general surgeon, Cameron D Adkisson MD, FACS graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch (’08) and completed his surgical residency at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville (’13). He subsequently completed a fellowship in endocrine surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (’14), focusing on the surgical therapy of diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. In addition, he has interest in benign and malignant disease of the breast and minimally-invasive and robotic general surgery. He is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology.
His passion is working with patients to develop an individualized approach to their care. He takes great pride in his bedside manner. When he is not in the operating room, Cameron enjoys spending time with his family, jogging on the beach, weight-lifting, tennis, and learning to cook.
